Federal Tax Credits
New federal income tax credits are available through 2032, providing up to $3,200 annually to lower the cost of energy-efficient home upgrades by up to 30 percent. Improvements such as installing heat pumps, heat pump water heaters, as well as electrical panel upgrades, and more are covered by the tax credits and can help homeowners save money on their monthly energy bills for years to come.
BayREN Home+ Rebates
Get Cash Rebates from the Bay Area Regional Energy Network! The Bay Area Regional Energy Network (BayREN) Home+ Program offers you an opportunity to upgrade to an energy-efficient home that is more comfortable, durable, and safe. You’ll reduce energy use and improve comfort and indoor air quality while adding value to your home – all at your own pace and budget.
Rebates are available for eligible energy efficiency upgrades including water heating and HVAC for eligible residents with homes built in 2016 or earlier. You must work with a Home+ participating contractor.

Tech Clean California HVAC & Water Heating Rebates
Single-family incentives of $1,000 for new heat pump HVAC systems, with up to two incentivized systems per home for a total of $2,000.
Heat pump water heating system rebates starting at $4,185 for clients that have a gross income of 80% of the median income based on the residence county.
You must work with a Tech Clean California participating contractor.

Advanced Energy Center Rebates
Sonoma Clean Power in Sonoma and Mendocino counties can access rebates for Heat Pump Heating and Cooling Systems, Heat Recovery Ventilators, and Heat Pump Water Heaters. Rebates can be stacked with Tech Clean California, BayREN Home+, and federal tax credits.

Electrify Marin Rebates
The County of Marin is offering rebates to single-family property owners for the replacement of natural gas appliances with efficient all-electric units, including water heaters, furnaces, ranges, and cooktops. In cases where installing a new electric appliance would require replacing the main electric service panel, further rebates are available.

Sonoma County Energy Independence Program (SCEIP)
The County of Sonoma offers a low-cost financing program for property owners. The Sonoma County Energy Independence Program allows you to finance your energy-efficient HVAC and water heating systems. With a low, fixed interest rate and terms of 10 or 20 years, it makes upgrades more affordable.
